A Wonderful Day!!!

Yashasvi ne kal bahut zidd ki picnic par jaane ki...I asked to her, do u know what is picnic? She explained very well :) She said, "Maa, Picnic par hum ek Park mein jaate hain jahan par khoob saari green grass hoti hai. Phir vahan hum mat bichaate hain aur ghar se khaana bana kar le jaate hain..vahan mat par beth kar khaate hain aur play karte hain." I said "OK and what we should take to eat?" She said, "Maa, sandwich le kar jaayenge". In the morning, I made some sandwiches and Poha and packed them into a basket. She was quit excited that we are going to the Picnic. We went to the Indraprastha Park and started our picnic (as Yashu described ;) ).

We enjoyed a lot there. In every action, Yashasvi took the step forward,"Papa chalo mat beechaate hain..."

"Maa mein serve karoon?"

We had a great time there. It was very refreshing from the daily routine and will look forward for more such kind of Activities.

Hindi Story Telling Competition

Yashu has a competition for Hindi Story Telling on Thursday. I choose the story "ईमानदार लकड़हारा" and for that I have prepared three axes as a prop.

I hope it will work for her and she will do good in her Competition.

I have made these with sparkled and matte finished foam sheets.

Story

Show and Tell Competition!!!

There was Show and Tell Competition in Yashasvi's school and I prepared her with the topic "Healthy Food".

Tomatoes are red, beans are green,
Brinjal has a crown, just like a queen!
Potatoes are brown, Onions are Pink,
Carrots have juice, which I can drink!
Vegetables make me healthy and wise.
I will eat some, daily with Milk and Rice.

Hindi Poem Competition!!!

A Little Red Hen

An English Story telling competition held in Yashasvi's (my daughter) school. I let her prepared the following story and I made the prop that she showed during the story narration.

Story

On a farm, there lived many animals and birds. One day a little Red hen found a grain of the wheat in the farm yard. She asked the other birds and animals, "who wants to plant this grain of the wheat?" The duck and the goose were lazy and they quickly refused to do any work. So, the little Red Hen planted the grain of the wheat. When the wheat was ripe, the little Red Hen again asked the other birds, :Who will take the wheat to the mill?" The duck and the goose again ignored the little Red Hen and continued playing. When it was time to make bread with the flour, the little Red Hen did the work all by herself. At last it was time to eat the bread. The duck and the goose stood close thinking that they too would get a share. But the Red Hen said, "I will eat the bread alone because only I worked for it." She called her chicks and they all had a feast.
Moral: There are no gains without pains.
